Cambodia Itinerary

Day 1

Depart Australia and arrive in Phnom Penh. 

For dinner we will head to Bassac Lane which is a lively nightlife hub tucked off Street 308, offering a mix of stylish micro-bars and diverse restaurants like Namaste India, Elia Greek Kitchen, Mama Wong Thai Kitchen, where visitors can enjoy everything from cocktails and tapas to authentic Indian and Thai cuisine in a cozy, expat-friendly atmosphere.

Day 2

During the day we will head to the Killing Fields and S-21 Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh offer a sobering yet essential insight into Cambodia’s tragic past under the Khmer Rouge, serving as powerful memorials to the victims and reminders of the resilience of the Cambodian people. In the evening we will head on to a sunset cruise in Phnom Penh offers a serene escape along the Tonlé Sap and Mekong Rivers, where travelers can enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline bathed in golden light, often accompanied by drinks, music, and a gentle breeze.

Day 3

We will leave Phnom Penh and head up to Siem Reap.  Along the way we will stop by a lovely lake for lunch.  In the evening, we will head to Pub Street in Siem Reap is a bustling hub of nightlife, dining, and entertainment, where tourists can enjoy everything from traditional Khmer cuisine to international fare, vibrant bars, and lively street performances in the heart of the city.

Day 4 

During the day we can enjoy browsing vibrant local markets like the Old Market and Made in Cambodia Market for handmade crafts, textiles, and souvenirs, then unwind in the evening with a riverside dinner at roadside stalls serving grilled meats, noodles, and Khmer specialties under twinkling lights and a relaxed, local vibe.  For those that aren't shoppers and more interested in seeing the sights we will organise a trip to the Monkey Island and Silk farms where you can see and purchase hand made silks scarves and other items from the locals that have been passing this skill down through the generations.

Day 5 

Group 1 cooking lunch in school 7:00am to 4:00pm

Group 2 half day PLF food drop, 10:00 to 1:00pm.  

Day 6

This morning will be a sunrise trip to Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s iconic temple complex, is a majestic testament to ancient Khmer architecture and spirituality, with nearby Ta Prohm—famously featured in Tomb Raider—offering a hauntingly beautiful scene of jungle-entwined ruins that captivate visitors with their mystical charm.

Day 7 

As part of one of our charity trips we will head out to visit the village where we will give food to the less fortunate and visit this years project in Run Ta Ek.

Day 8 

 Group 2 cooking lunch in school 7:00am to 4:00pm
Group 1 half day PLF food drop, 10:00 to 1:00pm. 
Dinner at Street Three Eatery and hear from a wonderful young Australian who has set up two restaurants and supports many families providing them with work.

Day 9 

We will visit a local stilt village and charter a boat on the Tonlé Sap lake and seeing floating villages  You will see a fascinating glimpse into Cambodia’s unique way of life, where visitors cruise past stilted homes, floating schools, and bustling river markets that adapt to the rhythms of Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. 

In the evening we will head out on a Vespa Night Tour which offers an exhilarating way to explore the city’s vibrant street food scene, hidden local hangouts, and cultural landmarks by vintage Vespa, all under the glow of evening lights and guided by knowledgeable locals.

Day 10

This will be a day where we can support the Kulen Elephant Sanctuary near Siem Reap, where visitors can spend a meaningful day interacting with rescued elephants in a natural forest setting—feeding them, walking alongside them, and learning about ethical conservation efforts that protect these gentle giants.


We will have a final group dinner Urban Tree Hut in Siem Reap is a tranquil, garden-style restaurant rooted in community values, offering a fusion of Cambodian, Asian, and European dishes in a beautifully decorated space where warmth, generosity, and shared happiness guide both the cuisine and the service

Day 11

Group departs Siem Reap

Day 12

Group arrives back in Australia
