Vietnam Itinerary




Day 1
We will land in Vietnam in the afternoon in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam. It is a bustling metropolis known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and dynamic economy.
Day 2
We will visit the Independence Palace, the former residence of the President of South Vietnam you can visit the “War Room” from where the South Vietnamese forces were controlled, and the room where the North Vietnamese army finally took control in the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975.
We will also visit The War Remnants Museum, established in September 1975, was previously known as the “Museum of American War Crimes” and contains countless artefacts and photographs documenting said crimes - the killing of civilians, spreading of chemicals, torturing of prisoners, and the effects of the war on the north. Planes, tanks, bombs, and helicopters displayed, and outside the museum are some rooms displaying cultural products of Vietnam.
Day 3
In the morning heading towards the Cu Chi Tunnels, located one hour from Ho Chi Minh City. Originally dug by hand by the Viet Minh (Resistance force) during the French Indochina War, this network of underground tunnels was expanded during the Vietnam War. At its peak, it was 200-kilometers long, 3-to-4-meters deep and was very well equipped, including meeting rooms and medical and sanitary posts. Today it is one of the largest historical sites of the Vietnam War. We will begin the visit by watching a documentary on the tunnels and the war in the 60s-70s, then you can pass through various narrow underground ducts in order to discover the rooms: offices, kitchens, meeting rooms, weapons stores and even hospitals. At the end of the tour, you will have the chance to taste the specialty of Cu Chi, the khoai my luoc (boiled cassava), a Vietnamese dish eaten daily during the war.
Day 4
We will head to the coastal town of Vung Tau and start discovering this beach city in South Vietnam. Visit Light House – one of the attractions in Vung Tau to discover. Lying on a small Tao Phung Mountain – one of the most ancient lighthouse in Southeast Asia. From the lighthouse you can catch the whole panorama of Vung Tau city.
We will also discover White Palace Villa to discover its unique architecture and special beauties. It is an ideal
recreation area that still preserve many historical values. Relaxing at Thuy Van Beach (Back Beach) is
considered as one of the biggest and the most beautiful beach in Vietnam.
Day 5
Volunteer at Nhà Xã Hội Long Hải (Social House Long Hai)
Nhà Xã Hội Long Hải is a school and vocational training centre that supports underprivileged children in the Long Hai area, about 15 km from Vũng Tàu. This will be a joyful and meaningful day spent engaging in games and activities with the children at the centre.
The centre is managed by My Hương Lê, a fellow adoptee friend of Rohan’s, who returned to Vietnam in 2004 and has since dedicated her life to charitable work and community development.
Day 6
A day visit to Long Tan is a deeply moving journey through Vietnam’s wartime history, where visitors explore the former Australian military base at Nui Dat, walk through the haunting rubber plantations of the Long Tan battlefield, and pay respects at the Long Tan Cross Memorial
Day 7
We will head back to Saigon and get settled in to our accommodation.
In the evening we will experience the local nightlife and enjoy tasty food and live music as we ride pillion on vintage Vespas along the busy streets of this vibrant city. See Saigon come alive at night on this after dark adventure!
Immerse yourself into the cosmopolitan nightlife of this busy city by night. Your expert driver will then zoom through the busy streets and alleys of Saigon to see the local life and check out some of the famous highlights in this bustling city.
Feel like a local as we feast on authentic, fresh seafood dishes, eating streetside and then enjoy the local favorite that is the delicious Banh Xeo, a traditional Vietnamese savory pancake, and other southern dishes.
We then ride off into the night again to experience live music at a live music venue where a new generation of Vietnamese flaunt their style. Bring a healthy appetite and a sense of adventure as our guides show you their city by night.
Day 8
Leave Ho Chi Minh City for Ben Tre city. Upon arrival, begin your boat cruise to the to Ham Luong river and get over Long Thành island visiting coconut shell charcoal work shop.
Continue your cruise to Mỏ Cày. Stop to explore the area with visit coconut processing workshop. Take xe Lam ( motor cart) Stop to visit a local work shop ( brums making ), riding on the sampan along the canal to Mr. Ba Vạn ‘s house with fruit tasting and have a short walk in the village before cruise to local house for a delicious lunch local specialties.
After meal, take your time walking to surrounding area for more local life exploration

Drive to our hotel in Can Tho.
Have dinner then visit the night market.
Day 9
Embark on a scenic cycling journey through the winding tributaries of the Mekong Delta. Visit a local rice factory, stop by a Cambodian temple, and ride past lush, emerald-green rice fields that stretch to the horizon. Along the route, food parcels will be distributed to families in need.
Pause to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal at My Hương’s house, featuring traditional bánh khọt and bánh xèo — crisp, savoury pancakes that are a beloved specialty of southern Vietnam.
In the afternoon, bicycles will be donated to underprivileged children, providing them with a vital means to attend school. Additional food parcels will also be distributed to local families in need, making this a day of both discovery and giving.
Day 10
6:30 Breakfast will be serve at the hotel.
7:15 Starting Cruising tour Cai Rang Floating Marketing
Joining the Can Tho River to the north, we are soon greeted with the lively picture of local trading across wooden rowboats and motorised tin boats. Cai Rang Floating Market is the first destination of the day for many of the Mekong Delta’s locals, who make their way to the Can Tho River to buy/sell local produce, almost them are fruits.
After this, making the way onto land and finish our tour with a visit to a local village. This small commune has spent hundreds of years perfecting the art of making rice noodles, available to see in a process involving rice grinding, mixing with starch and cutting sundried rice pancakes into strips.
10:00 Back to the hotel.
Day 11
Travel to Soc Trang and visit the operational Catholic orphanage and primary school where Rohan came from.
Day 12
Travel back to Saigon and visit the markets to get some last-minute souvenirs.
There will be options to do other activities in the day and in the evening we can go out for a group dinner to celebrate and reminisce about the journey we just had together.
Day 13
Depart Saigon
